Born and raised in San Jose, California, Chris Shelton lives life with fierce passion and irrepressible good humor. In his twenties, he worked a day job as a butcher and practiced Martial Arts in the evenings. A near-crippling back injury temporarily halted the Martial Arts, but introduced him to the Chinese healing art of Qigong. After recovering, to his surprise, through practicing these remarkable exercises, he decided to devote his life to helping others. He began a Medical Qigong practice in 1988, and opened the Morning Crane Healing Arts Center in Willow Glen in 2000.
Nowadays, he teaches kickboxing, qigong, and tai chi, and sees clients as a medical practitioner. Due to the outstanding results his clients have experienced, he has been interviewed on Showtime, UFC, NBC Sports, and several local TV stations, and has established a branch healing practice in Los Angeles.
For his Martial Arts prowess, Chris has won numerous awards, including the Grand Championship for the 2010 Tiger Claw Competition, and has been featured in Kung Fu Magazine. In his spare time, he enjoys drawing, ballroom dance, MMA, and spending time with his family.
