Academy of Qi Dao ("Academy", " we", " our", " us") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We are a limited liability company registered in the state of Oregon.

This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information at Academy of Qi Dao in connection with your use of our websites including, but not limited to:

(the " Websites"), our mobile app, such as Qigong Masters (the " Apps") and your use of our training courses, certifications and related services and content ("Academy of Qi Dao Content") (collectively " the Services").

We respect your right to privacy. We do not currently trade, sell or rent personal information collected about you to third parties. Please read the Privacy Policy outlined below that explains how we will and will not use the information you provide. By using or accessing this website, you signify your acknowledgment and assent to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this website. Please note that we can revise this policy at any time by updating this posting, and your use after such change signifies your acceptance of the changed terms.

What information do we collect and how do we use this information?

We may request personal information from you for processing orders and shipping products, conducting contests or sweepstakes, and for product registration. This may include your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, etc., as well as information related to customer satisfaction surveys, customer purchasing habits or other purchasing information.

Our web site allows you to contact us directly with questions or comments regarding our products. We also maintain data files to ensure that we quickly resolve customer comments or questions and implement improvements based on those comments. We may conduct sweepstakes or other contests on our web site, which require personal information to be provided to qualify for participation in the promotion or contest. This information is used primarily as a means to notify the winners.

In an effort to continually improve our products, we may use personal information to conduct market research and on-line surveys. This may involve contacting recent and/or past web-site visitors who have provided personal information. Our web servers may automatically monitor the number of visitors, the average time spent on the site, the popularity of our web-sites, and any programming errors or failures on any of our web-sites in order to determine the effectiveness of our web-site and to make improvements to the website.

Do we share your information with other third parties?

We do not currently share your e-mail address or personal information with any other parties without your prior consent. We may share aggregate data about our sales, customers, traffic patterns, and other related site information with respectable third parties. None of this data is related to any individual's name without their consent.

Do we use cookies?

Our website uses "cookie" technology to collect Shopping Cart product information. This information is only stored during the actual shopping session. We store all personal information in a secure database. We also use temporary cookies to store "session" information while you are shopping online. This information enables you to go back and forth between web pages without losing the information you have already entered. This simple convenience means you only have to enter information once, and it can be used on multiple pages, such as adding items to your shopping basket. This temporary information is always removed from memory as soon as you leave our Web site.

Do we have any special privacy policies with respect to children?

We encourage parents and guardians to monitor and participate in their children's online activities. No information should be submitted to this site by users under 13 years of age, and users under 13 years old are not allowed to register for newsletters, clubs or activities. Users under 18 years of age are not allowed to make purchases or participate in contests. Where appropriate, we may ask you to indicate your age to verify compliance with these policies. We do not knowingly collect information from our guests under 13 years of age or provide any personally identifying information from such guests to any third party for any reason whatsoever. We do not allow guests known to be under 13 years of age to receive direct marketing communications from us or from third parties.

How do you stop us from contacting me via e-mail in the future?

All emails that we send to our customers who have voluntarily provided us with their email address include a simple and straight forward way to "opt out" of receiving future emails.

What is the policy regarding our ownership of information?

All opinions, ideas, suggestions, and other feedback submitted to our web-sites may be used by our company without any restriction and free of charge, and nothing contained in this policy shall limit or otherwise affect this. There may be instances where we request or permit the submission of your opinions/ideas. In such instances you will be required to agree to the terms of a prepared agreement related to the provision of such information prior to its submission.

What about our links to other sites?

We may add links to third party sites. Because such linked sites are not under the control of our company, we are not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any information, data, opinions, advice or statements contained on any such linked sites. Access to any other Internet site linked to this website is at your own risk. We have not reviewed all of the sites linked to the website. We provide these links merely as a convenience and the inclusion of such links does not imply an endorsement by our company of such third party sites or any goods or services offered by such third parties.

Will this Privacy Policy change?

We made the following changes to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation:

Individual Customers: If you are using our Services for your own personal purposes as opposed to in connection with your employment, your data controller for the purpose of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (the " GDPR") is Academy of Qi Dao.

Corporate Customers: If you are using our Services in connection with your employment, your employer is your data controller for the purposes of the GDPR, and we are data processor collecting and use that data only to provide the services to your employer. Your employer may have their own privacy notices that will apply to your use of our Services. Your employer will have access to your usage information, such as courses taken and results.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand how we process your personal information and what your rights are in relation to your personal information. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy in general or any part of it, you should not access our Websites or Services.

We collect certain information or data about you when you use our Services:

  • when you create an account with us, or submit questions, queries or feedback via our Websites, Apps, email, or social media, including your email address if you send an email to us, as it is in our legitimate interests to provide our Services, communicate with you and provide customer support per your request;

  • where you have provided your consent, you email address so you can receive our newsletters;
  • where you post information on our Websites chat forum, as it is in our legitimate interests to provide our Services;

  • personalize our Websites to ensure content from the Websites is presented in the most effective manner for you and your device;

  • Social Media Cookies which are set by the following third parties including: Facebook, and allow you to share what you've been doing on the Websites on social media.

We share your information with a number of third parties described underneath that process and store data on how you interact with the Websites. Use of those services is governed by their respective terms of use and privacy policies as detailed below.

We will not submit your data to any third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy. We use:

  • cloud storage and server providers located in and outside the United States to store the personal data you provide and for disaster recovery services, as well as for the performance of any contract we enter into with you;
  • service providers for analytics services to help understand your usage of our Services. In particular, we use Google Analytics and Kajabi, and provide a limited amount of your information (such as your email address and signup date) to Google and Kajabi to collect data for analytics purposes when you visit our Websites. Google Analytics and Kajabi analyze your use of our Services websites and/or products and tracks our relationship so that we can improve our service to you. We may also use Full Partner and/or as a medium for communications, either through email, or through messages within our Services.
  • service providers for authentication services to authenticate, identify and grant access to our Services; and
  • service providers for payment services including Kajabi, FullPartner, and to handle receipt of payment for products and services at our Websites.

We will pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so; if we have to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; to detect, prevent or otherwise address security, fraud or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users, a third party or the public as required or permitted by law (exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction).

We will also disclose your information to third parties:

  • if you are an employee of one of our corporate customers, we will share data generated from your use of the Services with your employer;
  • in the event that we sell any business or assets, in which case we will disclose your data to the prospective buyer of such business or assets; and
  • if we or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case information held by us about our users will be one of the transferred assets.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under age 16 for any purpose. If we learn that we have collected personal information of a child under age 16, we will attempt to delete that personal information as soon as possible and take any other measures required under applicable law.

Transmitting information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and we can't guarantee the security of your data.

Any data you transmit is at your own risk.

We have procedures and security features in place to try and keep your data secure once we receive it.

We won't share your information with any other organizations for marketing or market research, and we don't pass on your details to other websites.

Payment transactions are always encrypted.

Where you sign up for our Services as an individual, you have certain rights including to find out what information we hold about you and review, update, and correct the personal information you provide us by logging into your account.

Corporate Customers: If you are an employee of one of our corporate customers, please contact your employer to exercise your rights.

Individual Customers: You have certain rights in regard to your personal information. You have the right to ask us to access the personal information we hold about you and be provided with certain information about how we use your information and who we share it with. You also have the right to ask us to correct your personal data where it is inaccurate or incomplete and we will endeavor to do so without undue delay.

In certain circumstances, you have the right to ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you:

  • where you believe that it is no longer necessary for us to hold your personal information;
  • where we are processing your personal information on the basis of legitimate interests and you object to such processing and we cannot demonstrate an overriding legitimate ground for the processing;
  • where you have provided your personal information to us with your consent and you wish to withdraw your consent and there is no other ground under which we can process your personal data; or
  • where you believe the personal information we hold about you is being unlawfully processed by us.

In certain circumstances, you have the right to ask us to restrict (stop any active) processing of your personal information:

  • where you believe the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate and while we verify accuracy;
  • where we want to erase your personal information as the processing is unlawful but you want us to continue to store it;
  • where we no longer need your personal information for the purposes of our processing but you require us to retain the data for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims; or
  • where you have objected to us processing your personal information based on our legitimate interests and we are considering your objection.

In addition, you can object to our processing of your personal information based on our legitimate interests and we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate an overriding legitimate ground.

At any time you have the right to object to our processing of information about you in order to send you marketing, including where we build profiles for such purposes, and we will stop processing the data for that purpose.

Please note that these rights above are limited, for example, where fulfilling your request would adversely affect other individuals, our trade secrets or intellectual property, where there are overriding public interest reasons, or where we are required by law to retain your personal data.

If you are located in the EU, your personal information will be transferred to and processed by:

  • Thrive Academy personnel located in the United States under the terms of the EU Commission's model contracts for the transfer of personal data to third countries (i.e., the standard contractual clauses), pursuant to Decision 2010/87/EU.   • our third party suppliers (as described above) located outside the EEA where such transfers will either be: (i) to a recipient certified to the US Department of Commerce's EU-US Privacy Shield; or (ii) subject to the European Commission's model contracts for the transfer of personal data to third countries (i.e., the standard contractual clauses).
